How to troubleshoot IMG number translation issues
Introduction:
The Dialogic Integrated Media Gateways allow for certain phone numbers to be translated/modified as calls pass through the IMG Gateway. This can be used for a number of purposes, for example, to add and/or remove routing prefixes from numbers, to completely replace a type of number like the originating number with a fixed number, to reject calls that have phone numbers that don't fit into a specific pattern, and so on.
Number translation can be configured on the incoming call leg (using the incoming translation table) and/or the outgoing call leg (using the outgoing translation table). The IMG - Introduction to Number Translation describes the difference between these two translation tables and has step-by-step instructions on how to configure them.
