IMG 1010 - Hardware Alarm Module

Overview:

The hardware alarm module supports the IMG 1010 platform by configuring the fans and temperature sensors for optimal cooling and temperature control. The alarm module monitors the fans and temperature sensors and reports different alarm conditions in EventView. There are four fans located on the front panel. The fans are variable speed and work in conjunction with the six temperature sensors on the main board. Software controls the fan speed by monitoring the temperature sensors. The hardware alarm module supports three levels of alarm reporting:(Major/Minor/Critical) Alarms are displayed in EventView when an event such as the temperature of one of the sensors reaches a level that triggers an alarm to be sent to EventView.
