SIP to SIP - Configure Media

To be able to play announcements and transmit/receive tones the IMG 2020 must have the Media and Media DSP's objects configured.

Web GUI Tree

The screen capture below shows the object tree of the Web GUI displaying the Media DSP objects after being configured on the IMG 2020. The IMG 2020 supports creating up to 8 separate Media DSP objects. Each object created can have different functionality configured in it.

Configure Media

Right click the IMG 2020 physical node object in the Web GUI and select New Media. A Media object is created. Below is screen capture of the Media object.

Refer to the Media topic for information on how to configure each of the individual fields in the Media object displayed above.

Configure Media Module and Media DSP's

Once the Media object is created and committed then the media modules can be configured. To configure the media modules follow the steps below.

  • Right click on the Media object created above and select New Media Module. Only one Media Module can be configured on the IMG 2020 and it is labeled as an On-Board module. The fields in the Media Module object should all be left as their defaults. Refer to the Media Module topic for more information.

  • Right click on the On Board object just configured and select New Media DSP. Up to eight Media DSP's can be created under the On Board object. Create Media DSP Id: 0. This module will be used for playing announcements if needed. Select Playback/Record from the Receive 0 Configuration field. Below is screen capture of the Media DSP object pane.

Refer to the Media DSP topic for more information.

  • Create a second Media DSP by right clicking on the On Board object again and select New Media DSP. Select from drop down menu the receivers and transmitters needed for your application. In this example the default will be accepted. See screen capture below.

Once the Media DSP's have been created and configured continue on to the SIP to SIP - Configure Channel Groups topic.
