China N1 signaling is a E1R2 variant used in the Chinese telecom network.
This article describes a method to implement China N1 CAS signaling on the IMG.
Requirement:
The modifications to support additional call flows and changes to the line signaling bits as specified in the China N1 specification requires a customized PPL (Programmable Protocol Language) to be downloaded to IMG.
The E1 AB line signalling bits are required for the China N1 variant. Both the C & D bits are required to be set to a 1. The Idle (ABCD bits 1011) and Out of Service (ABCD bits 1111) line signals are required to set as well.
Implementation:

copy ChinaN1.xml to the GCEMS folder /opt/dialogic/common/config/Imports folder
create a folder called 'ChinaN1' at /opt/dialogic/common/config/Variants
copy chn_n1_4.cfg to the ChinaN1 folder /opt/dialogic/common/config/Variants/ChinaN1
