IMG 1010 - Recommended Red Hat Linux Configuration and OS Settings
Partitioning
The tables below display the partitioning configured on the Dell Servers that can be purchased as an option when purchasing the IMG. There are three tables shown below. The first is for customers using Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3.0 or 4.0. The second table is for customers using Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.0 (Software 10.5.0 ER2 +). The third table is for customers using Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.7.
Up to software version 10.5.3_ER2, GCEMS only supported the 32-bit version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux. In software version 10.5.3_SP3, the GCEMS was tested and supports the 64-bit version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.0. In software version 10.5.3 SP19, the GCEMS only supports RHEL 5.9 Tikanga 32-bit, RHEL 6.7 Santiago 64-bit, CenOS 7.3 64-bit. Settings
Select default boot loader
Enter Network Configuration Parameters
Disable Linux Firewall
Select your Additional Language Support
Set the Time Zone selection
Set System Root Password (Super User is root)
Dialogic Defaults are: user: root password: excel2 (or Dial0gic)
Linux Packages
At the very least install the packages in the table below. It is recommended that when installing Linux that the choice to select all packages be chosen. This will install all Linux Packages and will use approximately 7 Gigabytes of Hard Drive space.
