IMG 1010 - Installing ClientView for Windows
Note on Re-installation: If ClientView is already installed on system and a newer version is being installed, before starting installation verify that ClientView has been closed and any IMG processes that are running have been stopped.
Procedure:
To install ClientView on a PC running Windows, perform the following steps:
Transfer the IMG User Interface software file to the PC.
Go to the directory that the IMGUserInterface.exe file was loaded. Double-click the IMGUserInterface.exe file. This will launch the Install-Anywhere installation wizard.
Accept the defaults as each screen appears.
EventView and AdminView are automatically installed with ClientView. Currently, "British English" is the only language option in ClientView.
ClientView is not officially supported on Windows 8, Windows 10, or Windows Server 2012.
If you must use Windows 8, Windows 10, or Windows Server 2012, perform the following steps:
Right-click on ClientView installation binary package and select Properties.
Select the Compatibility tab and then check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows 7".
Click Apply and then double-click ClientView installation binary package.
To run ClientView for the first time on Windows 8, Windows 10, or Windows Server 2012, perform the following steps:
Right-click on ClientView shortcut on the desktop and select Properties.
Select the Compatibility tab and then check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows 7".
Click Apply and then double-click the ClientView shortcut.
