Asterisk D500 Selection

The D500 Transcoder has two methods of installation:

-> PCI Express connection
-> LAN Connection (RJ45)

The diagram below illustrates the connection methods

Note: ->If using LAN connection, use only one of the RJ45 connectors.
             Do not plug in both RJ45 connectors to a network as it will
             cause a network loop.
          -> LAN installation method is beneficial over PCI as Host CPU
              resources are not used (all RTP flows through LAN cable)

The installation steps below are prefixed with the installation method (PCI Express-, LAN-).
Select one of the method which best suits  your environment

Single Server

-> PCI Express -> Installation
-> LAN              -> Installation

Distributed Server

1. PCI Express
   -> Core Installation
   -> Sngtc Server Configuration
   -> Codec Module Configuration
   -> Operation

2. LAN
   -> Core Installation
   -> Sngtc Server Configuration
   -> Codec Module Configuration
   -> Operation
