Overview:

The Applications Properties selection under the Tools Menu will open up an Applications Property Pane as shown below. Within this pane, the properties pertaining to ClientView can be changed. Below is the Application Pane along with a description of each of the properties pertaining to ClientView. The fields highlighted in Green cannot be changed through ClientView Applications Property Pane. The fields in blue can be changed by clicking in them and entering a new value.

Field Descriptions:

Product Name:

Name of the product that ClientView is connected to. Automatically populated

Log Files Directory:

This is the directory where all log files are created and stored. Sangoma Technical Support Team will typically ask for files from this directory. Log files in this directory are backed up each day and sent to /opt/dialogic/common/backup.

RMI Port (Remote Method Invocation Port):

The default port that ClientView uses to communicate with AdminManager during login.

User Property File Directory:

The user.property file is where ClientView stores information for a particular user. Information such as window size, etc.

Help File Base Directory:

This displays path to WebHelp directory.

FTP Port:

The FTP port listed is the port that DataManager is using to host the metadata.jar file. When ClientView logs into DataManager it gets the .def files from DataManager in the form of the metadata.jar file and it gets it over FTP using this port.

DataManager Max Pings Lost:

Mechanism that Datamanager and ClientView use to make sure that ClientView is still connected. ClientView pings DataManager to verify it is still connected. This field displays the number of pings that ClientView will send without receiving a reply and generating an error message and attempt a reconnect. Click in this field and a 'Range Dialog' box appears. Use the sliding arrow to increase or decrease Max Pings Lost field

EventView viewable history:

Click in this field and a 'Range Dialog' box appears. User can adjust how many events that EventView will list. Use the sliding arrow to increase or decrease EventView viewable history.
