The ISDN Group object is configured under the ISDN D Channel object. The ISDN Group establishes local and network attributes for the b channels that will be controlled by the D Channel they are being configured under.

To create the ISDN Group object, the ISDN D Channel must first be established. Once the D Channel is established, the ISDN Group object can be created. The ISDN Group establishes DS1 and network attributes for the Group of b channels that are configured under this object.

T1- Up to 84 D Channels, one for each T1 DS-1.

E1 - Up to 63 D Channels, one for each E1 DS-1.  

Field Descriptions

Network Type

Select from drop down menu a list of all regional carriers supported. Below is a list displaying the selections in the drop down menu.

 

  • Do Not Include Network-Specific Facilities (NSF) IE

  • ATT Software Defined Network

  • ATT Megacom 800 Service

  • ATT Accunet

  • ATT Long Distance Service

  • ATT International 800

  • ATT Multiquest

  • Northern Telecom Private Net

  • Northern Telecom InWats

  • Northern Telecom OutWats

  • Northern Telecom Foreign Exchange

  • Northern Telecom Tie Trunk

  • Northern Telecom TRO Call

Discard Privacy Info

The option selected will be removed from the outgoing SETUP message. Below displays the selections in the drop down menu. See SIP Privacy.

 

  • Off

  • Display Only (default for ISDN B Channels)

  • Generic Number Only

  • Display and Generic Number

  • Calling Party Only

  • Display and Calling Number

  • Calling, Display and Generic

Bearer Capabilities Allowed

The Bearer Capabilities Allowed field is used by the calling party to specify the type of b channel that is being requested. To select one capability from the list, click on it and the selection will be highlighted. To select multiple capabilities or to deselect each of the capabilities, hold down the <CTRL> key while clicking on them. The drop down menu selections include:

 

  • Voice (default)

  • 3.1 KHz audio

  • Unrestricted 56K

  • Unrestricted 64K

  • Restricted 64K

  • 384K

  • Unrestricted digital information with tones and announcement
