  1. Click on Extensions

  2. Click on the Extension you wish to modify with a Direct-Inward-Dial (DID or 'phone number')

  3. Within the Extension Configuration page, select the drop-down next to Inbound Phone No. and choose the phone number you want to associate with the extension (you must first add phone numbers to your system)

  4. Click Update Extension at the bottom of the page

If you have analog lines, you can not route by Number Dialed as the carrier does not send us that information.  Instead, please route by Card X Port X. Be aware that if the DID number is part of a rollover, calls may be sent away or sent to this extension due to the roll-over behavior.

To setup automatic DID-to-Extension routing:

  1. Click on Options --> settings

  2. Under the Call Routing Settings category (as of the 4.1 release), set Route DIDs to Exts. to ENABLED.

  3. Click Apply All Changes

NOTE: You cannot use automatic DID-to-Extension routing with analog lines.

The steps above will configure your system to automatically take the last four digits of every DID that you add to your system and match these digits with an extension.

Please read the mouse-over tool-tip within the Admin Panel for more information on this setting.
