First - please remember the following - all calls to your PBXtra will be answered regardless of adding the phone numbers to your system.  However, you will not be able to assign DIDs to extensions or route by number dialed or send global caller id until you've added all the phone numbers to your PBXtra .

  1. Click on Extensions --> phone numbers

  2. Enter the phone number in the box immediately to the right of the word Number

  3. Choose the trunk type for this phone number.  Please note that the type you choose is for labeling purposes only.  Type has no impact on the functionality or usability of the phone number

  4. Optionally assign the phone number a description.  Many customers will use descriptions such as "main number" and "billing department" just to help an administrator quickly tell the numbers apart

  5. Click Add Phone Number

If you purchased a block of sequential phone numbers from your telephone provider, and you would like to add them all at once, you can enter a range of phone numbers using the following convention:

310-861-4300+4399

By entering the first number as a full 10-digit DID, and then typing "+" and the final four digits of the last telephone number in the sequence, PBXtra adds all of the numbers from 3108614300 through 3108614399 to your system.
