This is ONLY avaliable in CP edition 2010.1.19 or higher.

Your PBx server now has the ability to block brute force SIP registration attacks. If someone is repeatedly trying to register a SIP account to your server using different SIP passwords, you can now block them automatically.

*Note: If you have an IP Phone programmed with the wrong SIP password, which would result in the phone registering to the server over and over again (with the same wrong password), it will NOT be blocked.

To enable Brute Force detection, please go to:

Options → Settings → Security Settings →

*Brute Force Detection works independently from the Firewall feature (in the options → settings → Other Settings → Enable Firewall). Brute Force Detection will work with Firewall enabled OR disabled.

 

You can go to Status → Security to check the list of blocked IP addresses and unblock them.
