Sangoma Connector Installation Guide

Overview

Sangoma Connector is a multi-functional telephony integration application that enables users to link their Business Voice Extensions to some of the most popular web browsers. This provides the following:

  1. Log calls from the phone system into 1 of five different CRM systems.

  1. Enable screen pops in 80 CRM and Web Applications, triggered by inbound calls from your Business Voice phone system.

  1. Enable click-to-call functionality to make outbound calls from the phone system by clicking on a telephone number in the browser.

Sangoma Connector Installation steps

Install the Connector Extension

  • You should receive a Sangoma Connector welcome email.

  • Click the DOWNLOAD SANGOMA CONNECTOR button.

  • If you can no longer find the welcome email:

    • Using a Chrome Browser, navigate to the Chrome Web Store.

    • Once you have located the Sangoma Connector, Click the    Add to Chrome    Button.

  • When prompted, review the security information and then click Add extension.

Pin Connector to the Chrome Browser

  • Open the Chrome Extensions by clicking the puzzle icon next to your profile avatar.

  • A dropdown menu will appear, showing you all of your enabled extensions. Each extension will have a pushpin icon to the right of it.

  • Click on the pushpin  icon next to Sangoma Connect so that the icon turns blue.

  • The Connector icon will appear near the Extension puzzle piece in the browser.

Access Sangoma Connector

  • If you pinned Connector to the Chrome browser:

    • Click on the Connector icon on the right side of the browser window.

  • If you didn’t pin Connector to the Chrome browser:

    • Open the Chrome Extensions by clicking the puzzle icon next to your profile avatar.  

    • A dropdown menu will appear, showing you all of your enabled extensions.

    • Click on Sangoma Connector.

  • The Connector will display on the right side of the opened browser tab.

  • Login with your Sangoma Business Voice credentials.

  • The first time you log in a permission pop–up will display. Review the permission and if you agree click the OK button.

  • If you receive the error “No entitlement for this user”, contact your Business Voice Administrator and request they assign you a Sangoma Connector license.

  • Click Settings (the gear icon) in the lower right.

  • Reference the configuration section of the User Guide for more details on configuring Sangoma Connector.
