Many times users will receive a call on their phone and want to redial, but the outgoing call fails due to no outgoing call rule for this method. This forces the user to manually dial the number. To resolve this, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Setup>Call Routing>Outgoing calls

  2. Create Outgoing Call Rule

  3. Enter any name desired for the rule

  4. In Pattern to match set:

  • Number begins with the digits: ((Blank))

  • The rest of the number must be between 7 and 11 digits in length.

  • Before connecting the call, trim ((Blank)) digits from the front, and then prepend the digits ((Blank)) to the number.

Set the above rule to go our your main outgoing call provider and set Allow all existing extensions to use this rule to yes. Once saved this will allow users to redial from their phone history.
