SS7 - Nodes

The SS7 Nodes object is created under the SS7 Network object. To create the SS7 Nodes object, right click on the SS7 Network object and select New SS7 Nodes. The SS7 Nodes object is a container object and no configuration is needed in this object. Under the SS7 Nodes object, a physical node that is created in the Web GUI application (IMG 2020) can be added. By adding a node under this object, it is being added to the SS7 Network and any SS7 functionality can be added to it. Once the SS7 Nodes object has been configured, the individual SS7 Node object can be added under it.

Maximum Objects

One SS7 Nodes object can be created under each SS7 Network object. Four SS7 Nodes objects per SS7 Signaling object.

Under the SS7 Nodes object a node can be added. This node can now utilize any SS7 signaling objects configured under this object. Right click on the SS7 Nodes object and select New SS7 Node.

Force Switchover - If SS7 Redundancy is configured, click on the Force Switchover button to manually switch the roles of the Primary and Secondary nodes being utilized for SS7 Redundancy.
