To create a Physical Node object, right click on the Dialogic object and select New IMG 2020. The Physical node object gives the user the ability to select an ID, enter a Name that identifies the node, select a Media Mode, and Enable or Disable SRTP. Once these variables have been configured, and the object has been committed, the Web GUI examines the IMG 2020 node and auto populates all the other fields.
Anytime the Physical Node object is deleted or added, the node will automatically reset.

A maximum of six IMG 2020 nodes can be created and configured under the Web GUI.

The Physical Node object is populated by examining the node being configured and displaying the attributes of that specific node in the separate fields as displayed above. The node being examined has the IP address that is entered into the web browser when opening up the Web GUI.
Field Descriptions
ID
The ID field configures an ID onto the node being created. Either accept the default or select an ID to be created on the IMG 2020 from the drop down menu within this field. The ID's of the drop down menu range from 0-9. Once the Node ID has been configured, it cannot be reused or modified without deleting and re-adding the node.
IMG 2020 Name
Click in the Name: field and enter a name that identifies the node being created. A maximum of twelve characters is allowed. Valid characters are alphanumeric (a-z, A-Z, 0-9) and these characters:  - ! % * _ ` ' ( )[ ]{ } < >
Media Mode
The Media Mode field is where the System Media Mode is configured. Within this field, the user decides the percentage of channels that will perform the codec or frame-size (aspect ratio) transcoding operation as opposed to how many channels will allow video to pass thru the IMG 2020 with no codec or frame-size transcoding. The System Media Mode is dependent on the number of DSP Processors installed and configured. Refer to the information below.
Audio LBR
Audio LBR (Low Bite Rate) refers to the codecs included in RTP LBR Audio Transcoding on the IMG 2020. This mode is configured when the IMG 2020 is used to process both signaling and RTP for audio calls, as well as process the enhanced services such as processing DTMF digits, tones, and announcements.
The next two tables below display the max channel densities that can be expected when Audio LBR is selected. The first table displays the channel densities when the Audio SRTP Support field in this object is set to Disabled. The second table displays the max channel densities that can be expected when the Audio SRTP Support field in this object is set to Enabled.

Notes on LBR
In Audio LBR, the number of RTP Audio Transcoding channels is equal to the number of IP facilities. In each scenario, DSP Enhanced services such as DTMF Digits, Tones, and Announcements utilize 2 DSP resources.

Audio 3G
Audio 3G adds AMR-NB to the specifications described in the Audio LBR section above. Audio 3G supports more Codecs but the channel density is decreased. The next two tables below display the max channel densities that can be expected when Audio 3G is selected. The first table displays the channel densities when the Audio SRTP Support field in this object is set to Disabled. The second table displays the max channel densities that can be expected when the Audio SRTP Support field in this object is set to Enabled.

Audio HD
The Audio HD selection gives the IMG 2020 the ability to pass High Definition quality audio by utilizing the TFO (Tandem Free Operation) protocol and AMR-WB codec. The Audio HD adds AMR-WB codec to the 3G Media Mode described above. The combination of these give the IMG 2020 High Definition Audio over a mobile wireless 3GPP network.

Audio Dynamic Density Management
The Audio Dynamic Density Management selection utilizes a per channel points system. Points for a channel are dependent on the audio codec being used. Resource points are taken from and returned to a large pool of resources points. The audio dynamic density management selection aims at utilizing the largest number of IP media channels based on the unique blend of codecs and SRTP usage. When the Audio Dynamic Density Manager is selected, there are not an absolute number of channels available since different codecs use different amounts of resource points. A Dynamic Density Management Spreadsheet/Calculator is provided to assist customers in calculating the potential channel count available dependent on the Codec/SRTP usage.  Multimedia [Video: 25% TransCode]
This is the first mode that brings in multimedia. This mode is geared toward bridging the 3G-H.324M network with Packet Multimedia. Â With this mode, Facility Media Resources are created so that of the total multimedia capable facilities, around 25% of the can be actively transcoding video. The other 75% can continue to support audio or pass through the video without any transcoding.

Audio SRTP Support (SRTP support is for Audio Streams only)
The Audio SRTP Support field Enables or Disables the Secure Real Time Transport Protocol (SRTP) functionality on the node being configured. Once the Audio SRTP Support field is set to Enabled, the user now has the ability to configure each of the individual SIP channel groups to either support the SRTP protocol or not. Since the SRTP functionality uses bandwidth, the selection made in the SRTP Support field will also determine what the maximum channel density will be for each Media Mode selection made in the Media Mode field described above.
Disabled (Default)Â - SRTP functionality will not be supported on the IMG 2020 node being configured.
Enabled - SRTP functionality will be supported on the IMG 2020 node being configured. The next step is to configure SRTP on the individual channel groups. Refer to the Configure SRTP  topic for more information on this.
IMPORTANT:Â Once the Physical Node object has been configured and committed, the Audio SRTP Support field will be shaded green indicating it cannot be modified. To modify the Audio SRTP Support field once the object has been committed, the Physical Node object must be deleted and re-added to modify the Audio SRTP Support field. This action will require the IMG 2020 to be re-configured.
ACL
This will show any access control list defined. If none are available, then it is set to Unrestricted. Provisional ACL (F-6582).Â
IP Address (nn.nn.nn.nn)
Enter the IP address of the node that user will be connecting to. This will be the IP address configured in the bootup.cfg or dhcpd.conf file.
Type
This field is automatically populated with the hardware type. If the physical node is a IMG 2020 then 2020 will be displayed.
Trunk Type
This field is automatically populated with the trunk type configured on the IMG 2020 (T1 or E1). The trunk type is initially configured during bootup and is obtained through the Host Flag option in either the bootup.cfg or dhcpd.conf file.
Interface Type
This field is automatically populated with the type of I/O installed in the rear of the IMG 2020 chassis. (DS3/OC3 or DS-1)
Software Version
Displays the software version currently running on the IMG 2020.
Total IP Channels
Displays the number of IP channels/ports that are configured and accessibly. The Total IP Channels field is dependent on the Media Mode selected as well as the number of DSP Processors installed. For example: If the Media Mode was set to Multimedia 3G - Video: 0 percent Transcode and there were 12 DSP Processors installed (4 embedded and 2 media modules installed), then from the tables above, this field will display 624 IP channels configured.
Packet Audio Channels
Out of the total number of IP Channels configured, the number of channels that can be used for RTP audio is displayed in this field. Using the example above, there will be 624 channels/ports available.
Packet Multimedia Channels
Out of the total number of IP Channels configured, the number of channels that can be used for multimedia (Combination of RTP audio and video). This is described as channels that are accessible for both RTP Audio and Video. Using the example above, there will be 600 channels/ports available.
Network Multimedia Channels
Out of the total number of IP Channels configured, the number of channels that can be used for H.223 (Combination of both a packet and TDM facility). The IP packets will have the H.223 data embedded in an NbUP/RTP stream. Regardless of the facility it is coming in on, a 3G Multimedia Channel Type needs an H.223 Media Resource (which includes NbUP support), an RTP Audio Media Resource, and a RTP Video Media Resource. From the example above, there will be 600 Network Multimedia Channels (H223mux) configured and accessible.
Serial Number
Displays the serial number of the IMG 2020. The serial number displayed is the serial number of the I/O and corresponds to the serial number displayed on sticker on rear of IMG 2020.
Security ID
The Security ID is a unique number written into the ROM code of the IMG 2020. When generating a license, the security ID along with the serial number are used. A license generated with the wrong security ID will not allow the IMG 2020 to be configured.
Connection State (Multi Node only)
Displays the Connection Status between the IMG 2020 and the EMS application running on the Virtual Machine. The Connection State is not displayed when the system is not configured utilizing the Multi Node functionality.
Button Functionality
Reset IMG 2020- Initiates a hard reset. The system software and IP information will be deleted. After the hard reset, if SD card and/or ftp server is configured, the software will reload. The Web GUI however will need to be re-connected after software and IP information has reloaded.
Graceful Out Of Service- Takes any or all configured channels within the system out of service (OOS) without disconnecting active calls. Refer to the Graceful Out of Service topic for more information.
Out Of Service- Brings all channels out of service (OOS) immediately. Refer to the Graceful Out of Service  topic for more information.
In Service- Brings all channels back in service. Refer to the Graceful Out of Service topic for more information.
Download New License - The Download New License button will download a new license file to the IMG 2020 node. Prior to downloading the license file to the IMG 2020, the new/updated license file needs to first be copied to the directory that the system software binary file is located. If binary is loaded from SD Card, the license file needs to be copied to the SD Card. If the binary is loaded from an FTP server, the license file needs to be copied to the directory on the FTP server that the system software binary is located. Once copied to the correct download location, click on the Download New License button and the new license will get sent to the IMG 2020. To verify the new license downloaded properly, either refresh the Web UI page or click off the License Pane object and click back to it. This will refresh the page and display the new license. Refer to the Licensing (Gateway Mode) or Licensing (SBC Mode) topic for more information on downloading a new or updated license.
Push Configuration and Reset IMG 2020 - Pushes the configuration and initiates a hard reset.
