Installation

Windows Installation    

Follow the steps below, or view Gateway Installation Guide:   for complete details, including uninstall and upgrade instructions

*WARNING: Hardware should not be installed in the server until specified in the instructions below

 

  1. download the Netborder Express Software: 

There are two downloadable versions:

  • SOHO, includes free license up to 12 ports, or

  • Commercial, which you can purchase a license for up to 480 ports.

Once NBE is downloaded simply click on the EXE file to begin the installation and you will see the window below
Read the license agreement and select "I Agree" to proceed.

  1. The next window allows you to select the components to install. Normally the default is recommend which is shown below. Click Next to Continue.

  2. This screen is now showing the directory NBE will be installed in, simply click Install to begin the installation or if required you can modify the directory which NBE installs into. 

  3. NBE will then take a few minutes to install. 

  4. Once installation is complete you will need the power off the server and place the Sangoma board inside. 

  5. Once the system is powered up the board will automatically install. If you see a notification that asks you if you would like Windows to detect hardware, it is important that you DO NOT except and cancel (we want the Sangoma software to detect the Sangoma hardware, not Windows operating system).
    If windows asks you if you trust Sangoma insure you say YES to install the drivers. 
    Also if there is any issues you can use the "Install Device Drivers" shortcut from the start menu as shown below for a manual installation.

  6. Run the “Quick Setup” by navigating to the NBE Web GUI at http://localhost:7783/
        Click on the "Quick Setup" tab and follow the wizard 

To configure your Sangoma card with NBE follow the NBE Configuration Options page.

 

 

 


Linux Installation

  1. To Install NBE on Linux go here: http://sangoma.com/assets/docs/misc/NetBorderExpress_QuickStartGuide_Linux.pdf 
    For full details on installationuninstallation and upgrade instructions visit Gateway Installation Guide  and navigate to the Linux section

  2. Once the installation of NBE is completed, access the WebGUI by going to: http://127.0.0.1:7783/ as shown in step 3 of the installation guide; you will see the picture below.

  3. Once in the WebGui run through the "Quick Setup Start".

   To configure your Sangoma card with NBE follow the NBE Configuration Options page

 

 


  

MS Lync Installation

The NetBorder Express Media Gateway can have the following usage in the Microsoft Lync Ecosystem

*Note: The Following steps are peformed on the system that will be running Netborder Express Software. 
            The Mediation server can also be installed in this same server.

 

  1. Set the domain name, host name and IP configuration of the system.

  2. Download the Netborder Express Software from

  6. Generate the TLS Certification by visiting OCS TLS Configuration Guide:

  7. Run the “Quick Setup” by navigating to the NBE Web GUI at http://localhost:7783/     
    Click on the "Quick Setup" tab and follow the wizard

  8. Please navigate to MS Lync Configuration page.
