  • Now that we have M3 installed, we need to set up a Monitor Server.  Normally the Monitoring server will be the same as the M3 server, but it can be a different server if you want.

  • Clicking on "M3 Setup" then the "Monitoring" option will bring up the Monitoring Setup section.

  • We can now choose the Advanced option or Auto Deploy.  We will pick Auto Deploy which will set up the monitoring service on the same server as the M3 server. Clicking Advanced will walk you through setting up the monitoring service on a different server.

  • Define the email address you want alerts to be sent to when detected on any of your PBXs, and press the "Update" button.

  • M3 will now set up the monitoring services on your server.  At the top you will see the "Worker" status will show Active, not Idle, which informs us that M3 is doing some setup and background work.

  • You can adjust the alerting times and System Identifier in the Settings Page of M3.

  • Now all that's left is to set up our VPN Server.
