M3UA Remote Application Server (AS) Bind

Used when configuring a stack as a Signaling Gateway and the stack being created will connect to a remote Application Server (AS). Once the M3UA Remote Application Server and sigtran links/associations are configured under the Signaling Gateway stack, the next step would be to bind a Remote Application Server (AS) to this Signaling Gateway Stack. The Remote Application Server (AS) Bind object is created to accomplish this. To bind the Remote Application Server and sigtran links/associations to the Signaling Gateway stack, right click on the Remote AS object created under the Signaling Gateway Stack and select New M3UA Remote AS Bind. Within the Remote AS Bind object, select the Sigtran Link that will be used. See below for more information.

Accessing this Pane

Dialogic > SS7 > SS7 Network > SS7 Stack (SG Mode) > Remote AS > New M3UA Remote AS Bind

Maximum Objects

Up to eight Remote Application Server (AS) Bind objects per IMG 2020. These objects can be spread over multiple SS7 Stacks configured as Signaling Gateways.

Field Descriptions

Clicking in the Sigtran Link Field produces a drop down menu. This drop down menu will display all the sigtran links/associations created which can communicate with the Signaling Gateway stack. Select from the drop down menu one of the sigtran links/associations. This is the link that will connect the Signaling Gateway Stack to the Remote Application Server selected in the Remote Application Server field above.

Primary/Secondary

Select from drop down menu whether the sigtran link/association and stack are created on the Primary Signaling Gateway or the Secondary Signaling Gateway. If configuring with a Standalone M3UA system and redundancy is not configured, then the only selection in this field will be Primary.
