IMG 1010 - Updating a Cacti Graph Template

Overview:

When a graph template is added to Cacti via the CLI it automatically overwrites the existing template of the same name (if there is one). Below are steps on how to update the graph templates through use of the CLI. This should be done as a root user.

$ su Password : excel2  (Become a SuperUser) # cd /cacti-install  (Go to cacti-install directory) # ./configure_cacti.sh (updates all graph templates)

Warning:

If the user edits a Cacti graph template via the Cacti Web Interface all the graphs that refer to this template will be broken. Graph templates should be edited on a separate machine via the Cacti interface or they should be edited via XML editor.
