Field Descriptions

Interface:

The interface will default to Bearer and cannot be changed

Offset - x Configuration:

Each individual Span can be configured by a drop down menu. Below are the drop down menu selections.

Not Used- The Span will not be used

Local Loopback- Loops back transmit and receive on that individual span so that a far end piece of equipment can send a test such as a BERT test towards the local IMG. The span on the front panel of IMG 1010 will blink orange when offset is in local loopback.

Remote Loopback (CBIT only)- The local IMG sends out a FEAC code to a far end piece of equipment telling an individual span to go into loopback mode (Loopback Transmit and Receive) so the local IMG can send out a test such as BERT test. The span on the front panel of IMG 1010 will display solid orange when offset is in remote loopback.

Profile- This will be a drop down menu of all the TDM profiles created under the Profiles Object in ClientView. In screen capture above the IMG is configured for T1 over DS3.

Following the request to put DS1 offset 14 in loopback, you CANNOT make another request for loopback on another span without first taking span 14 out of loopback.
