User Info

The User Info object is used to give rights, permissions, and privileges to the various accounts that are created. Each new account will have the objects panes displayed below and each account can be configured with a different set of rights, permissions, and privileges. To create the User Info object, as and administrative user, right click on the Users object in the Administration configuration tree and select New User Info. A User object will get created and privileges can now be assigned. Refer to information below.

Maximum Objects
The maximum number of accounts that can get created is twenty. This includes both administrative and normal accounts.

Field Descriptions
User Name
Enter a User Name for the account being created that identifies the account. The User Name entered will be displayed under the Users object. This will be the User Name entered when logging into the account being created.
User Password
Enter the password to the account being created in the User Password field. The password entered will be used when logging into the account being created. Refer to the Username Password Rules topic for minimum requirements needed when modifying a password.
For user created accounts:
Passwords will expire after 90 days.
Once the password expires, the user will be blocked from logging in until the password is successfully changed.
Admin
The Admin field is used to configure whether the account being created will have administrative privileges or not. Administrative privileges allows the user to create and delete users and a host of other functionality not awarded to a user without admin privileges. A user given Admin privileges will automatically be given configuration and provisioning privileges as well. When True is selected in the Admin field, the selections in the Configure and Provision fields will default to True. When viewing the Web GUI as a user with admin privileges, the configuration tree, object panes, object pane buttons, and toolbar icons are all selectable. Refer to the table below which describes the privileges for each user account level.
True - Selecting True adds the administrative privileges to the user being created.
False - Selecting False will remove the administrative privileges from the user being created.
Configure
The Configure field is used to configure whether a user has the ability to create and maintain a configuration or not. A user given configuration privileges will automatically be given provisioning privileges as well. When True is selected in the Configure field, the selections in the Provision field will default to True. When viewing the Web GUI as a user with configure privileges, the configuration tree, object panes, and object pane buttons are all selectable. The toolbar icons Remove Edit Mode and Log Out All will be grayed out and cannot be clicked on. Refer to the table below which describes the privileges for each user account level. Provision
The Provision field is used to configure whether a user has the ability to provision the IMG 2020 through use of the Web GUI application. Provisioning involves such actions like being able to take facilities in and out of service, resetting node, and inhibit and uninhibit SS7 links. The buttons within the object panes will all be enabled when the user has provisioning privileges. Refer to the table below which describes the privileges for each user account level.
True - Selecting True adds provisioning privileges to the user being created.
False - Selecting False will remove the provisioning privileges from the user being created.
Monitor
The lowest level of privilege is to give a user monitoring privileges. A user that has just monitoring privileges can only view the configuration tree and objects. The monitoring user cannot configure or provision. Refer to the table below which describes the privileges for each user account level. True- The monitoring field defaults to True and cannot be modified. All users by default have monitoring privileges.

Administration |
All functionality in both the provisioning and configuration privileges are enabled in the Administration account privileges. In addition to the configuration and provisioning functionality, the administrative privileges also include the functionality below.
Enabled      Disabled       Remove  If another user logged in has the Edit Mode set to Enabled, the administrator can click on the Remove Edit Mode icon and change the other user to Edit Mode Disabled. At this point the administrator can toggle its own edit mode to Edit Mode Enabled and have full administrator access. |
