It is important to note that you are responsible for the lawful use of our technologies, including call recording and barge/monitor/whisper functionality.  Use of these features may put you at odds with local, state, and federal laws with regard to wiretapping.  While Fonality cannot offer legal advice, we have heard of our customers taking the following actions:

• Becoming familiar with the appropriate local, state, and federal laws concerning use of Fonality products such as, queue call recording, record all, on-demand call recording, and barge, monitor, whisper.  Googling "can I tape" might bring up helpful results.

• Changing employee handbook(s) to ensure that employees are aware of the use of these technologies and employees will not get your company in trouble for not using them properly.

• Changing their auto-attendant message(s) and announcements to disclose to incoming callers that calls may be monitored or recorded

• Using permissions to restrict access to recording, barge, monitor, and whisper functionality
