Java SSH Module

FREEPBX-7106 - Java SSH Window Will Not Open CLOSED

APPLICATION NOTE

PLEASE NOTE THIS WILL ONLY WORK WITH SOME OLDER JAVA VERSIONS.  SOME BROWSERS SUCH AS GOOGLE CHROME ARE DROPPING JAVA SUPPORT.

DEPRECATION

THIS MODULE WILL SOON BE DEPRECATED AS IT LOSES BROWSER AND OS SUPPORT. PLEASE USE A NATIVE CLIENT SUCH AS PuTTY

The Java SSH Module will load a Java applet in your browser that will allow you to connect to your PBX's command line without having to physically walk up to the machine. You'll be asked for the IP address of your machine.

If you are using a Windows machine, instead of using this module, you can use a free program called Putty to access the command prompt. You can download Putty here. Putty has an added advantage in that you can easily copy from and paste to Putty, and you cannot do so while accessing the command line from the machine that hosts your PBX. To copy from putty, highlight the text in Putty using your mouse and the text will be copied to the Windows clipboard. To paste using Putty, place your cursor where you want to paste and then right click your mouse.

Log into your machine using the username "root" and the root password you created when you set up your machine.
