XactView V3-User Settings and Preferences

  • Preferences is the section of XactView that a user can set some options. To go into Preferences click on the dropdown at the top of your screen next to your name.

  • From here we can pick the option called "Preferences."

  • A window should open like this.

  • From here we get the following options:

    • Call Settings

      • Transfer Type- When doing a call transfer inside XactView, you can pick which type of transfer should be initiated.

        • BLIND- A blind transfer will take your caller and transfer them to whatever destination you pick and hang-up your side of the call immediately.

        • ATTENDED- An attended transfer will dial the destination of where you are transferring the call to and put the caller on hold. When the person you are transferring the call to answers you can inform them of who’s calling and what they are looking for. Then once you hang up, the caller will be taken off hold and sent to the transfer destination.

        • ASK- Each time you transfer a call it will prompt you for what type of transfer you want to do.

    • Notifications

      • Notification Timeout- Anytime an incoming call rings your extension or a voicemail gets left, a notification will pop up. This setting is how many seconds you want to leave the notification up for.
