Control the Display on the Phone
Desk Phone API features described in this section are deprecated and supported only on the following models: D40, d45, d50, d60, d62, d65, d70
The user interface and interaction tools let you control the display on the phone and collect data from the user with menus and forms.
User Interface
Idle Screen Display
You can control the display of the idle screen within the general area of the logo, which includes the area right above the image we use to display information such as your status (e.g., "Do Not Disturb").
If you have multiple custom apps that control the idle screen, the App Engine cycles through them.
Foreground Display
Your app can also take over the entire display to show information and to interact with your user.
An app using the foreground also has control of the softkeys. You can define the label and the action to take when the softkey is pressed.
User Interaction
Several interaction tools let you build menus and forms to collect information from your user. See the API Reference Guide for more information.
