This version requires version 7.0 (94939). See the article Updating to Switchvox 7.0 for instructions on migrating to version 7.0. Please note that users may need to clear their web browser cache after the update, so any changes from your prior version are displayed correctly.
Important Information About Voicemail in 7.9
Before you update to 7.9, we highly recommend that you take a full backup with all directories included, particularly the Voicemail and Fax Files and Voicemail Greetings. The contents of all mailboxes will be affected by the update.
Mailbox contents include voicemail, on-the-fly call recordings, and faxes.
After the update to 7.9 is complete, all newly created mailbox content is immediately available via visual voicemail apps or the voicemail access extension.
For content that existed prior to the 7.9 update, there is a mailbox migration process that runs in the background. This process shouldnot affect the normal operationsof your Switchvox. It will take approximatelyone hour for each 10,000 messages. There is an alert in the Switchvox Admin area that is displayed while the process is running, and the alert declares when the process is complete. Once the process is complete, you can dismiss that alert.
Pre-update content is not available until after it is migrated. As each piece of content is migrated, it will appear in its phone-user's mailbox. All content that existed prior to the 7.9 update is processed as shown here:
Contents created within 7 days
Contents created within ~one month
Contents created within ~four months
Contents created within ~sixteen months
Contents created within ~sixty-four months
And so on.
Mailboxes No Longer Support IMAP
A phone-user's mailbox is no longer available via an IMAP client. This does not affect voicemail notifications, which go to the email address indicated for those notifications. In 7.9, you cannot access the mailbox content using the address with the Switchovxextension and host, for example101@switchvox.mybusiness.com.
To access their mailbox, a phone-user has the following options:
Sangoma desk phones: Visual Voicemail app
Sangoma Phone desktop softphone for Windows and macOS: Visual Voicemail
Switchvox Chat mobile app for iOS and Android: Visual Voicemail
Sangoma Connect mobile for iOS and Android: button to dial Switchvox's Voicemail Access extension
Switchvox's Voicemail Access extension, available by default
New Features and Enhancements

Under the Disk Usage Settings tab inServer > Disk Usage, a new setting is offered:

Zapier is an online platform that helps you automate workflows by connecting the different apps and services you use in actions called “Zaps”. Zaps allow you to automate these tasks without having to build an app to Switchvox integration yourself. Please see documentationhere.
