Routing Overview
The IMG 2020 router is a robust routing engine that selects an outgoing channel for an incoming call based on a set of user-defined routing criteria. It can perform pre and post routing translation and handle various call processing functions such as rerouting an incoming call to a different channel group or overriding cause code treatments. The information below is a high level document giving an overview of the routing process and any routing features supported on the IMG 2020.

Additional Information
The IMG 2020 supports up to 66 total Route/Cause Code/Service Routing Tables per BDN EMS. Each table can support up to 5000 entries. The IMG 2020 has a max capacity of 100,000 entries, or 20 tables each with 5000 entries.
Each IMG 2020 supports four route tables unique to the system which allows the BDN EMS to control, monitor, and maintain 250 discrete gateways.
Route tables can be configured to be specific to a particular gateway, or configured to be global.
The IMG 2020 can route from one route table to another with the ability to prevent looping.
The IMG 2020 can be configured to accept calls from multiple gateways with one External Gateway Entry using the Gateway Mask field.
Translation is supported during routing process.
Translation based on Channel group selection is supported.
ANI and DNIS translations are supported.
SIP INFO digits (#, *) can be appended.
