Audio Announcements in Spanish from Spain

This quick guide will show you how to install the audio announcements in Spanish from Spain (voiced by an Spanish-born professional announcer) in your PBXact system.

  1. Place within your PBXact server, under the /opt directory, the 9 .rpm files that contain the audio announcements spoken by a professional of Spanish origin (check with the contact that sold you your PBXact deployment to be able to receive these files).

To place the files inside your PBXact server you can use WinSCP for example or any other similar application that allows the transfer of files from your computer to a server on the network (the PBXact server in this case)

  2. From the Linux command line of your PBXact server, install the RPMs by simply running:

    yum install /opt/*.sangoma.noarch.rpm

  3. Go to the web interface of your PBXact server and create a new custom language with the Language Code "es_ES" (Modules> Admin> Sound Languages> Custom Languages> Add New Custom Language). Do not upload any file here, in fact the only thing you have to enter here is the Language Code parameter mentioned above (es_ES) and the Description parameter (enter any description, for example: "Audios en español" )

  4. Set the newly created language as your default Global Language for system announcements (Modules> Admin> Sound Languages> Settings). Also be sure to put: alaw, g722 and ulaw as Download Formats

  5. Apply the changes: simply click on the red "Apply Config" button that will appear at the top right of the web interface
