IMG 1010 - Customizing Cause Codes - SIP to SS7 ISUP

To change Cause Code Mapping from the RFC 3398 default,

  • Right click on the Logical IMG object and select New Routing Configuration. No configuration is needed here. The routing configuration object is a container object. Refer to IMG 1010 - Routing Configuration Object topic for more information on this object.

  • Right click on the Routing Configuration object and select New Cause Code Tables. No configuration is needed here. The cause code tables object is a container object. Refer to theĀ IMG 1010 - Cause Code Tables topic for more information.

  • Right click on the Cause Code Tables object and select New Cause Code Table. See screen capture below. Refer to the IMG 1010 - Route Table/Cause Code Table/Service Route Table topic for more information on this topic.

  • Add a Cause Code Entry to the cause code table created above by right clicking on the Cause Code Table object and select Add Entry.

  • In the Criteria Values field, select the original Cause Code for which you want to change the mapping.

  • In the Outgoing Cause Code field, select the value to which you want the original value mapped. See below.

    • In the Criteria Values field, select the original Cause Code for which you want to change the mapping.

    • In the Outgoing Cause Code field, select the value to which you want the original value mapped.

    • Add other entries to the Cause Code Table as desired.

  • Add other cause code entries to the Cause Code Table as desired.

  • Once the Cause Code Table and its entries have been created, the cause code table can be associated with a channel group. See screen capture below. Refer to IMG 1010 - Channel Group topic for more information.
