Advanced Generic Number Translation
The Generic Number or Generic Address parameter is located in the ISUP messaging and is offered to callers who wish to use a presentation/display number which is different than their main number. The IMG 2020 can be configured so the outgoing information such as Number Qualifier Indicator, Nature of Address, Numbering Plan Indicator, etc can be translated. The settings selected in each of the fields will be included in the Generic Address Parameter if the Generic # Translation field in the Translation Table Element object being configured is populated with an outgoing number. Before configuring the Advanced Generic Number Translation object, the following parameters in the Translation Element object need to be configured for the Advanced Translation to be applied.
The Type of Operation field in the Translation Element object must be set to Translation.
The String To Match field in the Translation Element object needs to be configured for the parameter to be translated.
The String field below the String to Match field must have the digits to match entered.
Once the Generic # Translation is populated, then all other fields within the Advanced Generic Number Translation object can be modified.

Screening Indicator (ITU Only)
The Screening Indicator is used in ITU only. Information sent to indicate whether the number information was provided by the user or the network (e.g. automatically generated by the network). The selections below indicate what to translate the Screening Indicator Parameter to. (Default - No Translation)

Presentation Indicator
Information sent to indicate that the calling party number is not to be presented to a public telephone network user, but can be passed to another public telephone network provider. It may also be used to indicate that the number cannot be ascertained by the network.
