IMG 1004 - Front Panel Status LEDs

On the IMG 1004 there are multiple LED's each displaying a specific status. All LED's are controlled by either software or firmware depending on whether the unit is booting or not. Once software is loaded, and the system is ready to run calls, the LED's are controlled by software. The first section below explains what the LED will display while software is loaded and the system is ready to pass calls. Â During the bootup process the IMG 1004 goes through an internal diagnostic that checks different aspects. The second section below explains what is displayed when the LED's are under firmware control.

LED STATUS (Software loaded on the IMG 1004)
POWER LED
The Power LED indicates power status. Is the IMG 1004 switched On or Off are monitored on this LED

ALARM LED
The alarm LED monitors the status of the temperature sensors in the unit.
LED Color | Description |

Off | IMG 1004 is sending a Temperature Alarm |
Green | No alarms - System is running normal |

TIMING LED
The Timing LED indicates whether a timing source is connected or whether the IMG 1004 is using the internal free running clock.

ENET SIG 0 and ENET SIG 1 LEDs
The ENET SIG 0 indicates whether there is a connection to the CRTL port on the rear of the unit.

SPAN STATUS LED
The span status LED's indicate the service status of each of the spans on the rear of the IMG 1004. There are 4 LED's which correspond to the four Bearer Span ports on the rear of the unit.
LED Color | Description |
---|---|
Off | Span is out of service. |
Green | Span is in service and is receiving valid data. |
Orange | Receiving an orange alarm RAI |
Red | Span is in service and is receiving a red alarm or no span is connected. |

LED STATUS (bootup)
The IMG 1004 utilizes the LED's on the front panel to display different aspects of the boot sequence. As the IMG 1004 goes through its boot process the LED's will indicate what part of the boot process the IMG 1004 is checking and whether any problems were encountered. Below is a chart showing what the LED's will display as the boot sequence progresses.

The first table below is a table of the Bootup Process. When the IMG 1004 is first powered up or when it is reset it will go through the sequence of LED's shown below under BootUp Process.
