Local Location

The IMG 2020 can be configured to retrieve audio files from an NFS Server, SD Card, or download directly through http. The Local Location object refers to retrieving the files from an SD Card. The Local Location object is created under the Media File Location object and is used to configure communications between a directory storing the audio files on the SD Card and the IMG 2020. When configuring the IMG 2020 to retrieve the audio files from an SD Card, information such as the ID of the Local Location object and the directory (Relative to Root) that the files are saved in. Refer to the information below to configure this object.

Maximum Objects

Up to 30 combined Local Location and NFS Location objects can be created. Each local location object created could have a different local directory configured to store audio files in.

Field Descriptions

Location ID

The Location ID field is automatically populated with the next available ID. To modify the existing ID, click in the ID field and a drop down menu will appear. The Location ID corresponds to a unique path or location that the audio files are stored. Accept the default ID or select the ID required from drop down menu. The Location ID's range from 1-30.

Source

The Source will default to External SD Card since the SD Card is currently the only supported medium for the Local Location object.

Path (Relative to Root)

Enter a path to the directory on the SD Card that is storing the audio files. The path needs to be relative to the root directory. For example if the files are stored in a directory labeled announcements, the path entered would be /announcements

Monitoring Fields

Location Status

The Location Status displays the connection status between the directory on the SD Card and the IMG 2020. If there is communications between the two, Available will be displayed. If there is no communications, Not Connected will be displayed.
