Calls with G729

Standard SIP Call Flow with G.729 codec

While the Call Analyzer does its media processing using the G.711 codec, it is possible to establish a G.729 between the agent and the called party after the Call Progress Analisys (CPA) is done.

The following diagram demonstrate this scenario.

 

  1. Predictive Dialler initiates outbound call with G.729 codec in SDP

  2. NetBorder B2BUA re-originates outbound call towards the network with G.711 codec in SDP.

    • As soon as Media flows, NetBorder Call Progress Analysis engine processes call information

  3. Call Progress Analysis outcome has been determined. NetBorder re-invites network to point session with G.729 codec

  4. NetBorder passes CPA results to Call Center Server.

  5. Media Flows using G.729 codec between agent and customer
