FAQs
Q1: What is the accuracy of this service?
A1: This service uses the best in class voice transcription from the number one company for enterprise grade speech recognition in the market today, with a 99% accuracy rate on recognized voices.
Q2: Is this automated or human touch transcription?
A2: This service uses fully automated transcription software to convert recordings into text.
Q3: Where will it send my transcriptions?
A3: Based on your selection within the user control panel you will receive your transcription in HUD and via email to the address you choose.
Q4: Will this service also work if my office phone is forwarded to my mobile device?
A4: This service will only transcribe your Fonality voicemails. With Fonality boomerang though, you can forward calls to your mobile device and still have callers resort back to your Fonality voicemail if the call is not answered.
Q5: Does the length of the voicemail matter for transcription?
A5: Yes. Fonality transcribes up to the first four (4) minutes of your voicemail.
Q6: Can I send it to multiple email addresses?
A6: Fonality delivers your voicemail transcription to just one email address. However, you can automatically forward that email to any other email address you wish. Just set up an auto-forward using your email client.
Q7: If I delete the transcription email, will it also remove the audio from my voicemail box?
A7: No
Q8: Does this also work with HUD Mobile?
A8: Not on today’s current build. However, Voicemail Transcription will be integrated into the visual voicemail tab of HUDMobile in the future.
Q9: Where is the audio / transcription stored?
A9: For Premise customers, the transcription text is stored on their server along with the voicemail itself. Fonality does not save these messages or transcriptions. For Cloud customers, Fonality manages the transcriptions just as we normally do for the voicemail message itself. Once deleted by the User, Fonality does not retain a copy.
