Presence State Module User Guide

THIS WIKI HAS BEEN UPDATED FOR VERSION 13 OF YOUR PBX GUI

APPLICATION NOTE

This module requires FreePBX 2.11 and Asterisk 11 or greater or PBXact 10.211.65 or greater.

Overview

The Presence State module lets you control which presence states are available to your users in certain applications. Presence states can control call behavior. For example, a user might choose "do not disturb / DND" in order to send calls directly to voicemail without ringing.

Usage Examples

For example, users can select a presence state from their User Control Panel (UCP) Presence menu if it is enabled for the user. You would enable this feature through the User Management module.

As another example, with the commercial Phone Apps-Presence, users can set their presence state from their phone.

Logging In

  • Log in to the FreePBX UI

  • On the top menu click Admin

  • In the drop down click Presence State

Available Presence States

When you arrive at the main page for the module, you will see a list of Presence States that have been created on your system already.

The defaults are shown below:
