Switchvox Cloud and Microsoft Teams

New Switchvox Cloud deployments can now utilize Microsoft's Direct Routing!  This allows Teams clients to communicate directly with Switchvox Cloud to access the PSTN and take advantage of the robust call processing engine within Switchvox Cloud.

What is Microsoft Teams?

Microsoft Teams is an Enterprise Collaboration Application that is offered within the Microsoft 365 environment, which allows Teams users to chat, call and video collaborate with other users in their organization.

How does Microsoft Teams integrate with Switchvox Cloud?

It integrates through the use of Microsoft Direct Routing, which allows an MS Teams client to function as a basic SIP softphone. Once configured by the Sangoma Onboarding Specialist and the end user's Office 365 admin, the Teams client is provisioned with a traditional telephony dial-pad. This dial pad now allows the Teams user to place calls to the PSTN utilizing Switchvox Cloud as the PSTN gateway. Teams clients provisioned in this manner can also take advantage of the Switchvox IVRs, Advanced Queues, and Ring Groups you know and love!
