Switchvox Cloud - Emergency Dialing Notifications
Switchvox Cloud running version 7.3.1 or later is configured so that when a user dials 911, a notification is sent to the email address(es) specified by the customer's administrator(s). This article provides instructions for use by a your company's admin to make modifications to the distribution of those Emergency Dialing Notification emails.
Login to the Switchvox Cloud Admin Web Suite. yourcompanyurl.digiumcloud.net/admin
From the top menu, select Tools > Alerts Manager. Here you will see all "Alert Subscriptions" configured on your account.
Select the appropriate action: Click "Create Alert Subscription" to add a new recipient. Click the "Modify" pencil icon if you wish to change an existing entry. Or, click "Remove" if an entry should be deleted.
Whether creating a new entry, or modifying an existing one, ensuring that the email address entered will receive 911 alerts requires your selection of the appropriate values: "Alert Levels" must have Info set to YES. And the "Categories" list must include "Emergency Dialing".
(If you do not see this "Emergency Dialing" option, then your service is not yet updated to software version 7.3.1. Please check again following your next maintenance window.)
The alert emails sent include the extension that dialed 911 (extension number, and first and last name), and the date and time they dialed. This email is sent when 911 is dialed from Switchvox, and does not contain information about the success or failure of the call, the routing information, or the caller ID that was attached to the outgoing call.
For additional information on 911 specific to Switchvox Cloud, please view Section 9 of our Switchvox Cloud Terms of Service, available at Important Documents - Sangoma Technologies .
