How Do I Use SIPStation Wholesale Service with Switchvox?
The instructions below will guide Sangoma Partners in the easy setup of SIPStation Wholesale SIP Trunking (formerly known as VoIP Innovations SIPDepot) service on Switchvox.
Switchvox version 7.6.1 or later is required for the integration described below.

Switchvox is also able to integrate with traditional SIPStation service, available for retail purchase. If you are an end user in need of more information on purchasing or configuring this service, please refer to this article.
Set Up an Endpoint Group for Switchvox
Log into VoIP Innovations Back Office.
Click on Endpoints.
Click on Endpoint Group Management.
Click Add Endpoint Group at the top of the page. (You cannot modify an existing Endpoint Group to become a Switchvox group.)
Enter a friendly name that you will recognize and select Switchvox for Group Type.
Check Enable SMS if this Switchvox will be using SMS.
Click Add Endpoint Group to save.
Confirm that the new Endpoint Group status is Active. (A brief wait in Pending status may be needed while authorization is completed.)
It should look like this once you click on Add Endpoint Group:
To set up this service in Switchvox, you will need the Autoconfiguration Key.
To find and copy the Autoconfiguration Key, click on the friendly name of the Endpoint Group in
Endpoints > Endpoint Group Management
Route DIDs to the Switchvox Endpoint Group
In Back Office, browse to:
DIDs > Purchase DIDs, if you need to purchase DIDs for the account.
DIDs > Manage DIDs, once you have the DIDs accessible in your account.
When configuring any DID, be sure that Route-To is set to Endpoint Group that matches the friendly name of the Switchvox Endpoint Group that you created earlier in this process. (If you need to move a large number of DIDs from a pre-existing Endpoint Group to the new Switchvox-ready one you created above, you can use navigate to DIDs > Bulk Update Tools > Endpoint Group to select the target DIDs and simplify the change.)
To use SMS on the DID that you are configuring as part of the initial sync with Switchvox, set the SMS option SIP. Once you have setup SIPStation Wholesale as a VOIP Provider in Switchvox following the instructions linked below, the SMS setting on the DID in Back Office will be updated to API POST with the necessary configuration values, automatically updated as part of the Easy Setup integration in Switchvox.
Note: If you need to add SMS to an additional DID in the future, after the initial Easy Setup has been completed in Switchvox, then you can do this manually by setting the SMS value for that DID to API POST; copying the SMS URL from an existing DID already configured for SMS with your Switchvox; and also copying over the SMS Auth Token value. Please also remember to confirm that the Route-To for this new DID is also set to the proper Endpoint Group.
Set up Switchvox to Use the Endpoint Group
Copy the Autoconfiguration Key created above and continue to this article, Setting up Switchvox with SIPStation and SMS.
Switchvox version 7.6.1 and later includes an Easy Setup tool to create a Switchvox VOIP Provider that is this SIPStation Wholesale Endpoint Group, and also a tool that lets you attach an SMS DID to the Switchvox Extension that will receive its inbound SMS messages.
