Sangoma Talk for Business Voice Installation Guide

Overview

This guide provides the basic steps required to be taken by administrators and end users to configure and install the Sangoma Talk application.

Note: Prior to the first user installation your Information Security team should review the TeamHub and Sangoma Talk Security Settings guide.

This guide includes the following sections:

Administrator Set Up

Business Voice Extensions

Access the Extension page in the Business Voice Portal

  • Open the Business Voice Portal.

  • Navigate to the desired Location.

  • Navigate to the Device Configuration > Extensions page.

Adding a New Extension

  • Add or Select an existing user.

  • Set the extension’s Number, Name, and Voice Mail settings.

  • In the Phone field, search for and select Sangoma Talk.

  • Set the remaining extension options as required.

  • Click Save Changes.

  • When all changes have been completed, Click Save to System.

Updating an Existing Extension

  • Search and select an existing extension.

  • In the Phone field, search for and select Sangoma Talk.

  • Click Save Changes.

  • When all changes have been completed, Click Save to System.

End User Installation

Once a User as been provided a Sangoma Talk extension, they will receive an email invitation which has two links: one to download the app and one to access the app with instant log-in. Follow the steps in the email to complete the install and access the Sangoma Talk app.

Note: The invitation link will expire within 24 hours and the user should activate their account within that time frame. If the invitation has expired, follow the steps in this guide, Steps to Reset Sangoma Talk.
