Overview

Compatibility Note 

Sangoma Telephony cards are designed to be compatible with most commercially available motherboards.

PCI details

  • Autosense compatibility with 5 V and 3.3 V PCI buses

  • Maximum operational power for PCI: 3 W (0.6 A @ 5 V) For PCI Express: 2.5 W (0.76 A @ 3.3 V)

PCI-Express details

  • 1 Lane PCI Express bus

  • Compatible with 4x, 8x and 16x slots

 

Faceplate

Sangoma Telephony cards ship pre-installed with 1 U faceplate, along with a 2 U faceplate as accessory.

If you have a 2 U server, the 1 U faceplate will need to be removed to install the 2 U faceplate.

Hardware Configuration

The B601 has 3 RJ11 connectors for FXO/FXS, and 1 RJ45 for T1/E1/J1.  There are two lines in each RJ11 connector, only 1 for the FXS port. The first line is on the inner pair and the second line is on the outer pair (inner pair for FXS port).

The FXO ports light up RED, and FXS ports light up GREEN

 

Telephony card installation is very simple:

  1. Power off server and remove cover to access the PCI/PCIexpress slots

  2. Identify the PCI/PCIexpress slot to be used for your telephony card

  3. Remove the backplate for that slot, from the server. 

    1. This backplate may require screwdriver to remove screws before pulling off the backplate. Use your discretion

  4. Insert the telephony card into the PCI/PCIexpress slot and verify it is firmly seated

  5. With the faceplate lines up with the mounting bracket, screw it firmware in place.

    1. verify the E1/T1 ports are lined up and fully accessible from the back of the server before securing position

  6. Plug in your E1/T1 cables into the telephony card

  7. Place server cover back on and power on
