Related Topics and Dependencies
The SIP to UK ISUP CLI IW object is configured under the SS7 ISUP Group. Refer to the Configure SS7 link below for information on how to configure the SS7 Stack and ISUP Group. Each individual ISUP Group configured can have the UK ISUP CLI IW functionality configured under it.

Field Descriptions (ND1017 (2006/07)
SIP-UK ISUP CLI IW
Disable (Default)Â - The UK ISUP object is initially set to Disable. The SIP-UK ISUP CLI IW functionality is disabled while this is set to Disable.
Enable - Select Enable from the drop down menu of the SIP-UK ISUP CLI IW field. This Enables the UK ISUP functionality. Once enabled, the IMG 2020 will map the incoming SIP parameters to UK ISUP and the incoming UK ISUP parameters to SIP. The tables shown below display how the parameters will be mapped between SIP and UK ISUP. Once the SIP-UK ISUP CLI field is set to Enable, the Calling Party Number Assertion and BCD Digits fields can then be modified. The SIP-UK ISUP CLI Tab will display Enable in the tab when the object is set to Enable.
Â
Calling Party Number Assertion
If the Calling Party Number address digits are not available in the incoming SIP messaging, the Calling Party number can be inserted into the outgoing SS7 IAM message by enabling the Calling Party Assertion field and entering the digits into the BCD Digits field below it.
Disable (Default)- Feature is disabled. If IMG 2020 receives a calling party number from SIP side, it will be passed to the outgoing SS7 IAM message. If there is no calling party number present in the incoming SIP messaging then the calling party will not be interworked.
Enable- When selecting Enable from drop down menu, the user can configure which digits are sent as the calling party number in the outgoing IAM message. The digits that will be sent are configured in the BCD Digits field below.
Â
BCD Digits
When the Calling Party Number Assertion field above is set to Enable, any digits entered into the BCD Digits field will be sent out as the Calling Party Number in the SS7 IAM message. Click in the BCD Digits field and enter the BCD digits.
