Field Descriptions (ND1017 (2006/07))

SIP-UK ISUP CLI

Disable (Default)- The UK ISUP object is set by default to Disabled. The SIP-UK ISUP CLI Tab will display Disable in the tab and the functionality in this object is disabled.

Enable- Click in the SIP-UK ISUP CLI IW field to Enable the UK ISUP functionality. Once enabled, the IMG will map the incoming SIP parameters to UK ISUP and the incoming UK ISUP parameters to SIP. The tables below display how the parameters will be mapped between SIP and UK ISUP. Once the SIP-UK ISUP CLI filed is set to enable, the Calling Party Number Assertion and BCD Digits fields can now be modified. The SIP-UK ISUP CLI Tab will display Enable in the tab when the object is set to enabled.

Calling Party Number Assertion

If the Calling Party Number address digits are not available in the incoming SIP messaging, the calling party number can be inserted into the outgoing SS7 IAM message by enabling the Calling Party Assertion field and entering the digits into the BCD Digits field.

Disable (Default)- Feature is disabled. If IMG receives a calling party number from SIP side, it will be passed to the outgoing SS7 IAM message. If there is no calling party number present in the incoming SIP messaging then the calling party will not be interworked.

Enable- When selecting enable from drop down menu, the user can configure which digits are sent as the calling party number in the outgoing IAM message. The digits that will be sent are configured in the BCD Digits field below.

BCD Digits

When the Calling Party Number Assertion field above is set to Enable, any digits entered into the BCD Digits field will be sent out as the Calling Party Number in the SS7 IAM message. Click in the BCD Digits field and enter the BCD digits.
