IMG 1010 - Subsystem Number

 

Description:

The Subsystem Number object pane in ClientView is created under the SCCP/TCAP object. The Subsystem number along with the Point Code is used by SCCP to determine routing between a local application and a remote application. The Subsystem Numbers, which range from 0-255, and can be selected through a drop down menu in the Subsystem Number Pane. From the subsystem number, the Adjacent Translator can be configured. Accessing this Pane:

Dialogic IMG EMS -> Logical IMG -> Physical IMG -> SS7  -> SS7 Stack -> SCCP/TCAP -> Subsystem Number

Maximum Objects:

1 Subsystem Number object per SCCP/TCAP object.

SSN Name:

Displays the following information:

SS7 Server - Which Node SCCP/TCAP is being configured on.

Stack ID - Which stack SCCP/TCAP is configured on.

Subsystem Number - Which subsystem number is associated with this stack.

SSN Status (Subsystem Number Status):

The Subsystem Number Status field displays the availability of service to the nodes of the network. The two states are as follows:

Prohibited  -  To change the state hit the Allow button located below the Subsystem Number Pane. See screen capture below

Allowed (Default) - When the Subsystem Number Pane is created, the status is by default set to Allowed indicating the service is initially available. To change the state, hit the Prohibit button located below the Subsystem Number Pane. Once the GCL Service has been assigned to a SIP Channel Group the default will be set to 'Allowed' for that specific SSN. See screen capture below.

 

Buttons:

The Allow and Prohibit buttons change the state of the Subsystem Number configured.

Prohibit:

By hitting the Prohibit button, the Subsystem Number status will change to 'Prohibit' and the Subsystem Number Service will be unavailable to the SS7 network by sending the SSP message to remote side.

Allow:

By hitting the "Allow" button, the Subsystem Number status will change to "Allowed" and the Subsystem Number Service will be available to the SS7 network by sending the SSA message to the remote side.
