Overview of Outlook Click to Dial 

  • When a user clicks on the "Fonality" tab, the "Disable/Enable" button appears and the "Account Settings" button appears in the top left corner.

  • When a user installs the Outlook Click to Dial plugin, the "Fonality" tab appears in Outlook. 

  • Click on "Account Settings" for the "Fonality" modal to appear, which allows the user to sign in to Outlook Click to Dial by using their HUDWeb credentials.   

  • Click on the "Disable/Enable" highlight button to disable or enable Outlook Click to Dial (it says "Disable Highlight" with a red line through it when Outlook Click to Dial is enabled).    

Step-by-Step Instructions to Login and Enable Highlighting

To login: 

Precondition: User has the plugin installed  

  1. Click on the "Fonality" tab  

  2. Click on the "Fonality" icon 

  3. Click on the "Account Settings" button (a Fonality modal appears) 

  4. Enter a valid "User Name" 

  5. Enter a valid "Password"

  6. Click on the "Login" button 

  7. There should be a message on the bottom of the modal: "Login Successfully" 

To enable phone number highlighting: 

Prerequisite: User is logged into Outlook Click to Dial  

  1. Click on the "Fonality" tab  

  2. Click on the "Fonality" icon  

  3. There should be a red line going through the "Fonality" icon "Disable Highlight." Phone numbers in an email should also be highlighted green

Trouble updating Outlook Plug-ins?

 

 Follow these steps:

 

  1. Uninstall the old Click to Dial plug-in

  2. Install the new Click to Dial plug-in

  3. Click on the "File" tab within Outlook

  4. Click on the "Manage COM Add-Ins" button

  5. Click on the "Enable this add-in" button
