Configure global settings such as admin password and caller-id - How do I?

  1. Click on Options --> settings

  2. From this page, you have full control over a wide variety of settings that affect your system globally.  The most important settings - settings all customers should configure - are listed here:

    1. Admin Password - change your admin password often.  Make sure you use a combination of letters  and numbers for maximum security.

    2. Global Caller-ID - the number selected will be presented as your company's outbound Caller-ID.  You must first add phone numbers to your PBXtra .

    3. Sever Local Time - sets the time zone for all of your phones.  If the time displayed on every phone is not accurate for your city, please ensure this setting is correct.

    4. Mail Server (all) - configures PBXtra to use your mail server when delivering voicemail attachments via email.  Many calls to Fonality Support regarding missing voicemail attachments are traced back to this setting being misconfigured.

    5. Relax DTMF - if you have Analog lines or a PRI and customers report that they are unable to navigate your main call menu (e.g. pressing buttons doesn't do anything), try setting Relax DTMF to "yes".

    6. Limit Blast/Ringall Agents* - PBXtra limits the maximum number of agents who can be part of a Ringall Queue or the Blast Group to 10 persons.  This limitation exists to ensure system stability.  However, customers who wish to remove this limitation should change this setting to "no".  This option is at your own risk.  If your system hardware is not capable of supporting more than 10 persons in a ringall configuration, you may experience a server crash.
