Do I need a license to use Fonality Video Collaboration?

Answer:  Yes

 

Do I need to have a separate video collaboration log in?

Answer:  No.  Fonality takes care of your log in with a single sign on. Once you are logged into HUD Web, you are automatically logged into Fonality Video Collaboration

 

How many people can join a video collaboration session?

Answer:  Fonality Video Collaboration supports up to 100 video participants and 125 audio participants. 300 Video and audio participants 2020.  

 

Do users need a HUD Web license or Fonality Video Collaboration license to participate?

Answer:  No.  Anybody who receives an invitation to a video collaboration session can participate by clicking on the session link provided by the meeting organizer.  However, a license is needed in order to schedule or initiate a video collaboration session.

 

Can I use my Fonality conference bridge for the dial in number on my video collaboration meetings?

Answer:  Yes.  Just swap your Fonality conference bridge number and password in place of the default dial-in before sending out your meeting invitation.  See the Fonality Video Collaboration User Guide for more detailed instructions.

 

After a collaboration meeting is scheduled, do I have to launch the meeting from HUD?

Answer:  No.  If you check the box "Enable join before host" in HUD meeting scheduler, the meeting can begin.  Just be sure you have the unique meeting URL, to access from any browser.
