Important Information Regarding Press-To-Accept With Analog Lines

Unfortunately, there is a limitation to analog telephony technology that prevents certain features of FindMe from working properly.

For example: Press-to-accept will not work if the call is forwarded to an external number using an analog line during the FindMe process.

Additionally, "How To FindMe" steps after a call is forwarded to an external number using an analog line will never execute, because of the nature of analog call handling. The call will instead be permanently forwarded to the external number until it is answered by a person, or a voicemail auto attendant.

FindMe Options

  • call my extension: PBXtra rings you at your main extension

  • call other extension: PBXtra rings you at any extension you specify (great for Executive Assistants)

  • call my mobile: PBXtra rings your mobile phone (you must first specify a phone number within your profile)

  • call external number: PBXtra rings any external number that you choose

  • enable call screening: PBXtra prompts the caller to say his or her name.  The recorded name will be played to you before you actually answer the call

  • disable call screening: turns off the option above

  • forward to my voicemail: PBXtra sends the caller to your main extension's voicemail box

  • forward to other voicemail: PBXtra sends the caller to any voicemail box that you specify

  • notify caller that I'm being located: PBXtra plays a pre-recorded message to the caller notifying them that PBXtra is attempting to find you

  • overwrite caller ID name: PBXtra changes the actual caller ID into a name of your choosing (e.g. 'From Office')
