Overview
The Language module allows you to change the language of the call flow and then continue on to the desired destination. For example, you may have an IVR option that says, “For Spanish Press 9 now.” You could create a Spanish language instance and point its destination at an IVR with Spanish announcements. The language of the call’s channel will now be in Spanish. This will result in Spanish sounds and prompts being played if installed.
You can use the Sound Languages module (not to be confused with the Languages module) to install or remove languages.
Logging In
From the top menu click Applications
In the drop down click Languages
Settings
Description
The descriptive name of this language instance. For example "French Main IVR." Set a descriptive name of the language you are setting.
Language Code
The Asterisk language code you want to change to. Select a language from the drop-down menu. You can manage available languages in the Sound Languages module.
NOTE
If a prompt is not available in your selected language, the global default set in the Sound Languages module will be used.
Destination
This section is for selecting the call target that the caller will be sent to with their newly assigned language. From this point forward, any voice prompt that this caller hears will be in the set language defined above.
Save
Click the Submit button, then click the Apply Config button.
Call Routing
Once configured, you will have a language destination available in your other modules. You can then route directly to the language needed as a destination target.
For example:
