Sangoma SMS User Guide (Mobile)
( The Sangoma SMS Mobile will be available very soon )
Overview
Sangoma SMS application is our text messaging application that allows users to communicate via text messages with their customers, personal and business contacts. This guide provides the basics on how to use Sangoma SMS on a mobile device. For more information on how to activate the license, visit this page.
The Sangoma SMS app has native mobile applications available both for iOS and Android devices. Visit Apple Store or Google play and search for “Sangoma SMS” to download and install the latest version of the app.
Warning Any message transmitted via our platforms, regardless of use case or phone number type (e.g., long code, short code, or toll-free) will be considered by The Campaign Registry (TCR) to be an Application-to-Person (A2P) messaging. Per the rules of The Campaign Registry (TCR), Application-to-Person (A2P) SMS and MMS message traffic may not be delivered to US-based end user mobile devices unless your company has been vetted and the message traffic is properly registered as a campaign. Additionally some carriers are blocking inbound messages, those originating from mobile devices and transmitted to Sangoma telephone numbers, that are unregistered business/application 10DLC numbers. For more information on TCR compliance, reference our SMS Campaign Registry Compliance Guides. For help with registering your SMS Numbers, reference our SMS Campaign Registry User Guides. |

Contacts
Your SMS contact list is tied to your “TeamHub Personal Contacts” located under the Contact tab.
Once a number is stored in your personal contact list, the conversations will show the contact name. If you have started a conversation before the number was saved as a contact, the contact name will not be displayed.
The contacts in the mobile app cannot be updated. To add or update a contact, please use the Contacts tab in TeamHub.
With the mobile app, you can view and start a new conversation with your “Company Directory, Personal Contacts, Phonebook” and by typing a phone number.
Conversation Lists
All your conversations will be stored and top 30 conversations will be displayed.
The conversation list will be synced to the Desktop/Web version. So, if you are sent a message via Sangoma SMS on TeamHub, you will be able to see the same list of conversations both on Desktop and Mobile app.
You can close a conversation, which will remove it from your view. The conversation will re-appear if you receive or send a new message to the same contact or number.
If the number is saved as a personal contact (currently, only available via TeamHub Contacts app), the conversation will show the contact name.
Message Delivery and Status
Anyone sending SMS/MMS messages over a 10DLC number from an application to the US must register for 10DLC. Failure to register your DID will result in message failure. Learn more about 10DLC here.
